A terrific lecture, Alister, thanks so much for sharing the link. The 38/68 “rule” is a very handy starting point for the mid-grey/white cards. The one area I hoped to see more info about is actual grading in standard NLEs (rather than the more specialized tools). I’m quite a newbie in terms of color correction, so any tips for FCP7? You mentioned something called Curves, but I think that’s a Premiere tool. What specific tools would you use in FCP? 3-way Color Corrector, I imagine, but any others?
